Bump Date- 18 Weeks

Happy Monday! Today I am 18 weeks pregnant with our little boy. Here's a little bump pic for ya!

I also had a random bout of morning sickness today.... what is that about?!?! I thought those days were behind me. Let's keep our fingers crossed that is was a fluke because this mama is over feeling like she's going to toss cookies.

These are the scenes from the weekend- lots of couch time with my brown dog. I also managed to get all of my Halloween decorations put away and transition to Thanksgiving. I love this time of year! I consider Halloween the beginning of the holidays- yes, I am one of those people. I love all of the decorations, parties, family events, and shopping that go along with the holidays.

My poor husband has to walk his pregnant wife and the dog every night. I've been doing two miles but I'm feeling so good I think it's time to move up to three. Make no mistake- I breathe like a water buffalo the entire time but I know it's good for me and Meyer so I keep it up. In fact, I'm already dreaming big about running after he gets there. I'll have all summer off so I want to train for two halves next fall. I'm a glutton for punishment apparently.

Meyer's Nursery

Planning Meyer's nursery was one of the pre-baby activities I was looking forward to the most. After much debate, I decided to go with grey and white with accents of red.

All of the walls are painted in the bubby color and we will be doing one wall with stripes in the flagstone color.

Love the elephants "mobile" (which she made from an elephant stencil and scrapbook paper); and the glider (from Target) and the rug (from Land of Nod) what size?... she bought cheap frames and spray painted in her colors
The was my inspiration for the accent wall.

I'm going to need crib bedding like this one from GiggleSixBaby's Esty shop.

Custom Crib bedding - Red and Grey Baby Bedding

As far as everything else....

I know I want a white crib and furniture. By the way... did you know those little buggers with CHEW on the crib?!?! Colors and markers on the furniture- ok I can see that one coming but chew??? Apparently I also need to get these covers that keep the little one from chewing on the furniture. Wowza.

A convertible crib grows with your baby, making it easier to plan ahead.

I defiantly want to make this project out of cards from our baby shower.

Transform baby shower cards into picture for nursery - I love this idea for all cards!!! I hate throwing them away, and they take up so much file space.Could do this with cards from a wedding too for the bedroom :)

I might also have to craft a banner like this one. I'll make sure to do a tutorial if/when I do.

I will also need a changing table or changing table alternative, curtains, and other cute decor stuff. I'm sure I'm missing a million things but I'll call that a start!

The First Post

Welcome to the Locey Life! I've been thinking for a while that I should start a blog to document our new adventure. This is mainly because I have lots of pictures that I want to remember but don't want to share on FB or IG- no one wants to see my bump pics! And after Meyer's arrival I plan on using this as a journal as I work my ass off- literally- to lose the baby weight. Ugh. I can smell the grilled chicken and veggies already.

Whoa! That's new.

It's a boy! Meyer Lucas Locey
In case you were wondering for your own gender reveal balloon box- 10 balloons will fit in a 24 by 24 box and it will take two balloon weights to keep them from flying away!
